Hello and good day to everyone!  Today I would like to show you my little School Days Album that I just finished for a customer.  

Mini School Album

As you can see from the front cover I used matching textured cardstock from American Crafts and Doodlebug Designs.  Incorporated a few of my favorite chipboard embellishments that she wanted for her son.  The star was handmade - using a pattern.  To do this cut out the pattern on chipboard - then adhere your favorite cardstock - then put glue dots on the back to hold the chipboard piece in place.  Be careful - if you  decide you don't like where you put the piece, it will tear the paper.  I always layout before I adhere my glue dots!

This is a much closer image of the Star and the Field Trip Sign that was made using chipboard and matching papers.

This is something I recently found out.  At Walmart - you can now print off 4x4 photos. The photos are 4x4 and you have the whole picture in tact. Using this size will allow you to fill up a small mini album. 

My customer wanted the waterfall effect for her school album - you can put photos on both sides and you can adhere ribbon to close the album.  On the binds - are chipboard crayons - same concept make them and cut them out. This saves money buying chipboard embellishments!!

If you notice look at the corners and how they are folded to look like the inside of a book.  The papers are protected and will not come loose.

This is what I love about American Craft cardstock - see the woven paper. It is soft, easy to apply photos, and it lasts.  I adhered a label at the top to write the dates of events.

The final page of the waterfall has a cute pocket I made out of cards.  Take cards and adhere your adhesive around both sides and the bottom.  I adhere glue dots at all corners so the pocket will not expand. Don't over load pockets with photos - remember it is only cardstock.  Limit 4 photos on photo mats for your pockets.

Tiny Toes Baby Girl Album

Hello everyone!

Here is one of my albums I did yesterday and just finished up today.

I love the cover on this album - and the large Fuchsia Pink ribbon I made to 

coordinate with it.

Tiny Toes Album

I used chipboard and coordinating papers by Pebbles, Doodlebug,

and Bella Blvd.  The center is hand-made and the scalloped circle

is from American Crafts Cardstock.  Embellishment by the Pebbles Collection. 

Inside you will see handmade pockets - along with Premade Photo Mats.

All of the photo mats will hold a regular photo.  The handmade jumper

was from a friend who designs and does watercolors.  This added

the right touch!  The premade photo mats are made from

textured cardstock from Doodlebug Designs.

Every book I make has journaling cards inside.  If you are making one for a gift

put as many in as possible. I have made "27" of my own 12x12 albums for my two

sons, and this is something you can pass down and preserve it in a Satin bag (I use

wedding bags with a drawstring).

Baby Boy Doodlebug Album

Here is cute little Doodlebug Baby Boy Album that I finished today.  It is simple, clean, and fun. This would be a great Baby Shower gift for the mommy-to-be!

Here is a closer image of the front cover!  I used Doodlebug Textured Cardstock in three different colors for the front cover, and this has a matching tie closure.

The tags are hand-made and you have a hand-made envelope with a enamel dot in baby blue.

Baby Girl Album with a Grandma's Brag Book

Hello everyone!  I have today a little project I completed.  This is a Baby Girl Chipboard Mini Album with a matching Brag Book for Grandma!  I used Doodlebug Designs and Bella Blvd for the completion of these albums.  They are so cute and fun and would be a great gift!

Baby Girl Album with Matching Brag Book for Grandma!

The papers for this book match. The dark pink paper comes from Doodlebug Designs. The cardstock is textured and woven.  This makes a difference when creating a mini album.  It gives the album a more rich feeling!

As you can see from the front cover, I used a large "3" inch circle that I punched out.  The scalloped circle is "1" inch.  The cute little bug has matching flowers and a puffed heart!  How cute!

At the top I added a large Tag, and you have a epoxy square button with pink twine.  I love the use of self-adhesive ribbons and the star is a pin in pink (of course)!

I love the use of borders - this one is from the Baby be Mine collection (Fancy Pants).  It is puffed and very elegant to give the album a last finishing touch!  The photos can hold 4x6 and are in a waterfall - very cute!

Grandma's Brag Book

Grandma's Brag Book is from the same materials used for the Baby Girl Album.  I used Bella Blvd twine and the Doodlebug Self-Adhesive Embellishment.  This opens up with multiple pockets with handmade photo mats that have matching ribbon attached!

This is the side view - as you can see it is full of pages - and has a self-close ribbon!

Remember when beginning a book - use acid free tape - and papers that are acid-free and Lignin-free. I only use high-quality products as the ones you see, and these products are free of agents that may cause yellowing, damage to your photos, and can cause fading.

Sweet Baby Girl Chipboard Mini Album

This baby girl book is a large tag using Top Dog Dies.   This album has 12 pages and can hold multiple pictures along with journaling cards. I used Bella Blvd and the Pebbles Collection papers for this project along with Handmade chipboard Flowers.  Great as a gift or for the mommy-to-be!

This is a wall hanging I designed and it is the Jillibean Soup - Mix the Media Collection - Receipt Holder - Large collection. I used 4 large pieces of Chipboard to make the premade photo mats.  This will preserve the photos and makes them look for rustic.  I used ribbon with wire to wrap around the metal handle. Spooky Halloween Large Chipboard Album

Who does not love Halloween!  This is my pumpkin album that measures 8x10, and can hold large photos of the little ghouls and ghosts.  My Mind's Eye Halloween Set - Boo!  This cute set is from MyMommyScraps and you can see her scrapbook kits at http//stores.ebay.com/mymomyscraps?_rdc=1 The complete set has all the papers and Chipboard embellishments to make this cute little album and the template is for sale at Top Dog Dies.

The papers used along with the Halloween kit is textured card stock from Doodlebug Designs on Scrapbook.com.  This gives the album more "expensive" look.  The second photo from the book is from the same collection. Look at the Spider Chipboard Border. This looks real!

 

Love this page. You have multiple pieces along with ribbons. Punch a hole at the top to layer ribbon. This will make the book look for rich.  Mix up colors, create, and be creative!!

Spring Wedding

Bella Blvd  Chipboard Wedding Album

This is the wedding album created by using Bella Blvd Products "Wedding." I used .46pt chipboard with 3 silver rings. The rings for this album were 1.25 inches. The larger the rings the easier to open each page. Disney This is Our Happy Place Chipboard Album!

This is the newest album completed early in the week using the "Simple Stories Say Cheese Collection. I purchase my kits from My MommyScraps on eBay. Follow her at http://stores.ebay.com/mymomyscraps?_rdc=1.  These albums are also for sale on eBay.  The front cover was created by using .46 chipboard.  I used multiple ribbons, brads, tags from McQueen & Co.  If you search you can find these items on Scrapbook.com or on eBay for a low price.

This is one of the pages from my Disney album using tags from Top Dog Dies.  If you have a machine system you can buy the template - some start at $29.00 and go up to $53.00.  These tags are great to create a multiple page creation!  You can fit up to "6" photos on one of these tags and this book will hold up to "40 Large Pictures.  The most problem people face is putting good size photos in a book. I created these books with extra photo mats to add additional photos.  Also, create pockets to hold autograph cards and additional photos.

Disney Say Cheese Mini Chipboard Album

This book is from my collection of "Disney Say Cheese."  I used the Simple Stories collection.  Great book with lots of room for those Disney photos!  

This is my second album I completed yesterday along with my other Disney album. This is one is laid out a little different and the products used were from PailseyandPolkaDots.  The owner has the actual chipboard album pieces for this project. You need a knife to cut around the many corners of this album. School Days Chipboard Album

The last one from my 124 albums in my store that I completed this morning is a Hard Bound School Days Album. This album was made with 2 pieces of chipboard and has waterfall photo mats. This little book will hold 25 school pictures. Great for a brag book for a relative, or for grandparents. Easy to make and quick.  Will have tutorial for these books later on in the week.

School Rocks Chipboard Album

This School Days book is one of my best seller's.  It is hardbound with a wooden spine and will hold 25 photos. The waterfall effect I listed with my School Days album is used also in this same book. You can find this book at  http://danne1231.WebstorePlace.com

The waterfall effect will hold 2 pictures per mat, and has a ribbon (cross woven) closure. Great to keep the book together and it will hold its shape!

I know Valentine's Day was last month, but this is another template from Top Dog Dies.  The Valentine book was done is textured card stock from Doodlebug Designs with matching chipboard embellishments.  Also for this sweet album I used matching ribbons and coordinating textured photo mats.  It has multiple pages and each page has chipboard embellishments. My story

Hello and welcome everybody to Scrapbooks by Dee.  I am glad to join the many others who love to Scrapbook. My mission is to show you the in's and out's of creating mini Scrapbooks.   I began Scrapbooks by Dee in 2008, and have three stores now.  Besides having my first blog  I have stores on eBay http://www.danne1231@webstoreplace.com, Etsy, and a home-based business.    

I do custom albums which include - Disney, Baby Girl and Baby Boy, Wedding, Halloween, Christmas, Baby Shower, and School Chipboard Albums.
